What You Need To Know
Anyone 12 and older needs a beach tag from June through Labor Day. Lifeguards are on duty from Memorial Day weekend through mid-September. There’s no smoking or alcohol allowed on the beach, and barbecues and fires are also a no-go. During the summer, from May 1 through September 30, you won’t be able to bring your dog to the beach. OC Candyland — This local candy shop opened in 2002, thanks to a family of chocolate lovers. They couldn’t wait to begin their dream of creating delicious chocolate treats for everyone to enjoy. You’ll uncover chocolate-dipped creations of all kinds, along with gift baskets and other sweet surprises.
Surfers Supplies — Planning to do a little surfing while you’re in Ocean City? Stop at Surfers Supplies to get everything for your upcoming ocean adventure. The business has been serving the area since 1962 and has an impressive selection of surfboards, wet suits, and other supplies Plus, the helpful staff will make sure you get exactly what you need.

Haunted Golf — We’ve mentioned a few mini-golf options already, but if you’re in the mood for something a bit spookier, try Haunted Golf. The 5,000-square-foot course is full of ghoulish (and humorous) effects, including talking animals and an eerie pianist playing dance music. All sorts of surprises await you around every corner.
