Neighborhood Spotlight: Ocean City, NJ

Ocean City is a family-friendly resort town in Cape May County. The area showcases 8 miles of beaches for summertime fun along with year-round entertainment and recreation. The borough boasts guarded beaches, a bustling shopping and dining scene, and a 2.5-mile boardwalk. Ocean City has frequently landed on various “Top 10” lists for New Jersey beaches.

What You Need To Know

Anyone 12 and older needs a beach tag from June through Labor Day. Lifeguards are on duty from Memorial Day weekend through mid-September. There’s no smoking or alcohol allowed on the beach, and barbecues and fires are also a no-go. During the summer, from May 1 through September 30, you won’t be able to bring your dog to the beach. Haunted GolfWe’ve mentioned a few mini-golf options already, but if you’re in the mood for something a bit spookier, try Haunted Golf. The 5,000-square-foot course is full of ghoulish (and humorous) effects, including talking animals and an eerie pianist playing dance music. All sorts of surprises await you around every corner.
