Yardley has a population of approximately 2,585 and is a suburb in Philadelphia in Bucks County. William Yeardley, a Quaker minister emigrating from England, settled the area now known as Yardley in 1682. He purchased 519 acres from William Penn. Yeardley’s nephew settled in the area in 1704 and developed Yardley even further. The area was once home to the North Pennsylvania Railroad and a ferry line, making it a transportation hub in the region.

The overall vibe of Yardley is suburban and it’s often considered one of the best places to live in Pennsylvania. The area holds a lot of history since it’s been around since 1682. The downtown area features a generous assortment of shops and restaurants.
